Less than a month before opening its doors to patients, Indiana University Health Saxony Hospital will host a Community Open House on Sunday, November 20 from 1-4 p.m. At the open house, area residents and employees are invited to tour the hospital and learn about the healthcare services that IU Health Saxony Hospital will offer beginning December 1.
A 42-bed specialty hospital with services focused on cardiovascular, orthopedics, spine and emergency care, the hospital will be the first of its kind for residents in Fishers and northeastern Hamilton County.
IU Health Saxony Hospital will provide local access to the nationally ranked programs of Indiana University Health and Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health. In addition, patients at IU Health Saxony Hospital will benefit from the hospital’s link to the IU School of Medicine. Upon opening, more than 60 physicians and 200 employees will provide quality healthcare services that focus on all aspects of the patient – mind, body and spirit.
“We look forward to offering patient-centered healthcare and specialized services in the Fishers area,” said Phillip Dulberger, MD, CEO and chief medical officer of IU Health Saxony Hospital. “The community and its residents will benefit by having the expertise of IU Health physicians in their own backyard.”
Additional outpatient services offered at IU Health Saxony Hospital include an outpatient surgery center, cardiac rehabilitation, a sleep disorders center, retail pharmacy, and a Women’s Center for mammography, bone density and ultrasound. An attached medical office building will provide access to highly trained physicians such as Riley Children’s Specialists.
