From Eric:

When my wife and I were looking to build a house, we knew we wanted to stay in Hamilton County.  I was born and raised in Noblesville.  My law firm, Church Church Hittle & Antrim, has been serving Hamilton County for more than 130 years as the attorneys for all manner of individual matters as well as the lawyers for municipalities and school corporations.  With this personal history and the firm’s long time service, Jill and I both viewed Hamilton County as the perfect place to raise our family.  It quickly became clear to us that Westfield was a wonderful choice.  It has fantastic schools, great neighborhoods and is the perfect size.

As most young families do, we first became to feel at home when our children established their ties to the Westfield Schools.  Through school activities, coaching youth sports at the WYSA and WYSI, and taking advantage of the other offerings of Westfield, our family become more and more integrated into the City.  My wife joined the board of the Westfield Educational Foundation.  I am on the board of the Youth Assistance Program.

As I concentrate my practice in assisting families that own closely held businesses and municipalities, the Chamber was a natural outgrowth of that involvement.  I spent a few years merely going to the lunches.  With the passage of time, I began to recognize more people and started to get more involved.  In 2010, I joined the Chamber Board.  This has given me an even greater exposure to the people, businesses and ideas that make up this City.

I am thrilled with the direction the City is taking.  I believe the present vision, including the Grand Junction and Grand Park, will make Westfield an even better place for generations to come.  The Chamber has given me the ability to get in on the ground floor of what is, and will continue to be, the one of the best cities in the state.   ~Eric Douthit

The Chamber thanks Eric for his service and appreciates his contributions.
